FresCo, Ambience Mall, Gurgaon

We were looking for a nice restaurant to have our Saturday dinner. We had options of East Asian and Indian Cuisine. We went to Ambi Mall's 3rd floor, which has got very good options in terms of food court as well as restaurants, which varies from Chinese to Mediterranean food.

We opted for this Italian/Mediterranean restaurant called Fresc Co. It is next to Asian and Punjab Grill on 3rd Floor. With lots of bright light and a scene of an Mediterranean village painted on one of the walls.

I will recommend you to go and take a table inside the restaurant which gives you a feel of a bright day. Specially a large window with bright panes the middle of the restaurant, gives you a feeling of sitting inside an traditional Italian house. One side is a Bar with a great selection of Single Malts (Laguvilin, Oban, Laphoraig to name few) along with chilled celler with good selection of European (Italian/French/Spanish and Portuguese) Wines. Wines ranges from Rs. 1550 to Rs. 3500 (Excluding Champagnes) and 30ml measures of single malts ranges from Rs. 370 - Rs. 500, which quite decent if compared to other restaurants in Ambi-Mall. The range at the Bar is far more better than any of the BJN group's restaurants. (I am mentioning more of the bar because it impressed me the most). Other side is an open plan kitchen, where chefs cooks fresh pastas and pizzas along with tiny lamb burgers. Third side is buffet table.

Food is awesome. We opted for buffet option for Rs 425 + taxes (on weekend) along with Portuguese Mateus Rose. Buffet has wide range of salads along with pizzas, pastas and grilled chicken. Don't forget to try fruit salad made with egg-less mayonnaise. The best part is pizzas are freshly made (I am talking about Pizza base) and are baked in brick oven. Brick oven is one of the traditional ways to bake pizza, it's very different from Pizza Hut and Dominos. Even the desserts range is superb. Freshly cut fruits, Vanilla and Chocolate Ice-cream, Mango, Blueberry Souffle, Chocolate Moose, and Chocolate Fudge.

Very well mannered and groomed staff.

Average spend for a couple, even if one doesn't go for buffet, will be around Rs. 1000, which is very decent.

Highly recommendable
